About The Event

Course Description: The Carbine 1 Course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to safely and responsibly operate with a carbine of their choice. This course covers fundamental principles of firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, and situational awareness. Participants will engage in hands-on training sessions that include live-fire exercises and scenario-based simulations to reinforce learning outcomes.

Key Topics Covered:

  • Firearm safety rules and best practices
  • Tourniquet review and application
  • Techniques for selecting and safely slinging and operating a carbine
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship, including grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and transitions.
  • Tactical considerations and defensive shooting techniques
  • Situational awareness and threat assessment
  • Live-fire exercises to practice shooting skills under controlled conditions
  • Scenario-based training to simulate real-world self-defense situation

What to Bring: Carbine with optic zeroed, 3 magazines, 300 rounds of rifle ammunition, Sling, Pistol, 3 magazines, 200 rounds of ammunition, holster, magazine carrier for rifle and pistol mags, water, snacks, eye protection, ear protection, sunscreen, bug spray.

Course Format: The course combines classroom instruction with practical hands-on training. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in live-fire exercises at a controlled shooting range and participate in scenario-based simulations to apply learned concepts in a safe environment. Instruction is provided by experienced firearms instructors with backgrounds in law enforcement or military service.

Prerequisites: No prior firearms experience is required. Participants must be legally eligible to own and possess firearms and should bring their own firearms and ammunition suitable for training.

Outcome: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will have gained the necessary knowledge and skills to responsibly and effectively operate a carbine. This course serves as a foundation for ongoing personal defense training and development of a defensive mindset.

Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of completion demonstrating their successful participation in the Carbine 1 Course.
